About the Polyphonic Theatre Ensemble

We are a non-profit theatre company that is committed to making quality theatre, placing a high value on local artists, and amplifying voices that may otherwise go unheard.

Our Board of Directors

Megan Tripaldi, Artistic Director

Megan Tripaldi is an actor, bi-coastally produced playwright, and educator living and working in Portland, ME. They graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a BA in Theatre in 2012 and has had plays produced in Maine, Massachusetts, West Virginia, Washington, and Pennsylvania. They most recently performed Seven Stages Shakespeare Company, Bare Portland Theater, Kerr and Company, Portland Stage Company, and at multiple Fringe festivals on the east coast.

Hollie Pryor, Managing Director

Hollie Pryor is a recent graduate from the University of Southern Maine, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, with a heavy focus on directing. She is a teaching artist with Stages Youth Theatre in Portland, helping young ones unlock self discovery. She’s thrilled to be part of the Polyphonic Theatre Ensemble, helping to make voices heard in the Southern Maine.

Rocco Tripaldi, Executive Director

Rocco has been participating in the Maine theatre scene for 10+ years as an actor, sound designer, and producer. He graduated from Franklin Pierce University in 2008 with a degree in Graphic Communications ( and one class short of a theatre minor ), and works as a software engineer at Automattic. Rocco is proudly queer, a suicide survivor, and is openly working through depression. Rocco is interested in telling stories with these themes under the Polyphonic banner.

Jody McColman

Jody McColman is an actor and playwright in Portland, Maine who has been active in the greater Portland arts community for the past decade.  Jody is a member of the founding board of Polyphonic Theatre Ensemble because he wholeheartedly supports PTE’s important mission to bring new, innovative, local theater to life.

Elizabeth Patterson

Elizabeth Patterson is a Theatre Studies and Theatre for Youth educator and director who taught and directed theatre in Arizona, Texas, Colorado, North Carolina, and Massachusetts before coming home to Maine in 2017.  Dr. Patterson is so excited to be part of Polyphonic Theatre Ensemble and all that it can bring to the vibrant theatre community in southern Maine!

Hannah LaSala

After a stint in Paris, Hannah returned to her native Portland, ME to pursue a career in marketing and advertising. A client strategist at VIA, Hannah loves traveling, speaking French (especially while eating cheese) and the artist Caravaggio. She’s thrilled to be a board member of Polyphonic!
